Your privacy, in plain language.
This is a short summary of how we handle your personal and health information. It's not legal fine print. If anything is unclear, ask us at the counter or call.
What we collect
When you use our website forms (new patient registration, transfers, refills, contact), we collect the details you give us: your name, contact info, date of birth, health card or insurance numbers, medications, and any photos of insurance cards you upload. We only collect what's needed to set up your file and serve you.
How we use it
- To create and maintain your patient profile
- To fill prescriptions and check for interactions or allergies
- To bill MSI, Pharmacare, or your private insurance
- To contact you about your registration, prescriptions, or services
How we protect it
Your information travels to us over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and is stored on our secure server. Only pharmacy staff who need it to serve you can access it. Insurance card photos are used only for billing and are kept confidential.
What we don't do
We never sell your information and never share it with anyone except as needed to fill and bill your prescriptions (for example, with your doctor or your insurance company), or where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep pharmacy records for as long as provincial regulations and professional standards require. If you'd like to correct something or ask about your file, call us at (902) 423-8000 or visit us at 6199 Coburg Road, Halifax, NS B3H 1Z8.
